Heritage Sites & Temples

Cambodia's northwestern third extends from the plains around Phnom Penh to the Thai border and is dominated by the Tonlé Sap Great Lake. The magnificent ruins of Angkor as well as the “Lost Capital City” of Koh Kèr are the main attraction but there are various other sights that reward the effort to reach them, not least the dramatic cliff-top temple of Preah Vihear and the stilt villages at the Western end of Tonlé Sap.
